Vivo V50 5G

  • PKR 149,999 for 512GB
Pre-orders began on March 8, 2025, and the official sale started on March 15, 2025. You can grab one at your nearest mobile market. This phone falls into the mid-range category, but with its features and design, it looks like it could outshine its competitors. I heard a lot about this phone and finally got a chance to check it out up close, so I thought, why not share my experience with you. This isn’t a technical report, it’s more about seeing this phone through the eyes of everyday users.

Design: a combination of beauty and strength

Vivo-V50 The Vivo V50 has a different feeling as soon as he holds it in his hand. The phone is only:
  • 7 inches tall
  • 6 mm thick
  • weighs about 199 grams,
which looks quite balanced by its large battery. Back panel is made of glass, and the color I liked most is the “Star Night”. This color looks simple from afar, but when looking closely, it has a 3D effect like the stars, which makes it separate from the rest of the phones. It is very comfortable to hold in hand, and its premium feeling goes to the heart. However, the fingerprints get quickly because of the shiny finish, so if you are eager to clean up like me, it may have to be cleaned occasionally. Vivo-V50Screen and Display: The Vivo V50 features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with:
  • Full HD+ resolution
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • Slightly curved edges
  • Brightness up to 4500 nits
Vivo-V50 which is slightly bent all around. The edges of it are so thin that the screen is openly exposed. The resolution is Full HD Plus, and the refresh rate goes up to 120 Hz.That is, whether you’re scrolling, watching videos, or playing games, everything seems very smooth. I also liked the brightness of it. The company says it can go up to 4500 nets, and it is well visible in the sun. Just a small thing: the curved edges sometimes have a mirror of light, but this has not been a major problem.

Camera – the original magic of Vivo

Vivo’s phones are famous for the camera, and the Vivo 50 continues this tradition. The Vivo V50 is equipped with three cameras, two at the rear and one in the front and incredibly, all three being 50 megapixels.

Rear Cameras:

  • The main rear camera features optical image stabilization (OIS), giving better and smoother photos especially when shooting in low light.
  • The secondary camera is an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 119-degree field of view, and the 50 MP front camera is for capturing awesome selfies.
  • The cameras can also support higher-end AI features, giving a professional touch to the photos, making them stand out.
Vivo-V50Camera Performance and Features
  • The pictures that come from the main camera in the daylight are very colorful and detailed.
  • The colors may sometimes look more shiny, but it is Vivo’s own style, and I like it because such images are very good on social media.
  • The edges in portrait mode are very good, and the background blurring looks natural, as if the picture is taken from a large camera.
  • One of the special features I liked is a “wedding mode”, which is specifically made for weddings.
  • This mode gives pictures a film style, and there are some ready-made settings that make the pictures more beautiful.
  • Even in low light, this phone does well.
  • The back aura light, which is a big ring light, improves night portraits.
  • Details are safe, and noise is even less.
  • The ultra-wide camera is a bit weaker overnight, but this is common for this price phone.
  • Video recording can go up to 4K, but stabilization in motion could have been better.

Vivo V50 Front Camera

  • Vivo V50 has a 50-megapixel front camera, which is not only high resolution but also maintains natural beauty in the pictures.
  • The selfies taken in the daylight are very clear, colorful and full of detail.
  • Portrait mode looks like a background biller exactly like a professional camera, which makes the image a special look.
  • The front camera has AI beauty mode, which enhances the beauty of the face, but not so much that it looks unnatural.
  • The front camera also shows good performance in low light. The face remains clear and the noise in the picture decreases.
  • This camera is particularly suitable for selfie taking for social media, as the images are immediately uploaded.

Battery: A Day-to-Day Companion

The Vivo 50 is equipped with an enormous battery of 6000mAh, its biggest advantage. Vivo-V50
  • During my day-to-day usage, such as video watching, browsing, and taking some photos, this phone lasted the entire day and had 20-30% charge left at night.
  • Even if you use more, it can run 8-10 hours comfortably.
There is a 90W flash charge for charging, which makes the phone completely charged in 40-45 minutes. Vivo-V50 The charger is found in the box, which has become rare nowadays, so this is a great benefit.

Performance – enough for everyday

This phone has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which is good for daily use. Vivo-V50
  • I played several apps on it, played games, and did multitasking no problem.
  • There are 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage options.
The software is based on Android 15, and the top is FunTouch OS 15.
  • Some extra apps are expensive, but they can be removed.
